Competing for Sunkist Kids out of Huntington Beach, California, Anthony first made her presence felt in freestyle competition back in 2006, placing second at the Junior Nationals that year while still at Marina High School in California. After a third-place finish at the 2007 Junior Nationals, she was crowned the Junior Nationals champ in 2008… and went on to place fifth at the Junior World Championships that year.
In 2009, Anthony’s career continued its upward trajectory, winning the Junior World title, and FILA Junior National championship. She followed that up with yet another Junior World championship and runner-up status at the Canada Cup in 2010, among other accomplishments.
In this decade, Anthony has continued to place in some of the world’s most prestigious freestyle tournaments. Among the highlights: second at the U.S. Open… third at the Dave Schultz Memorial International…and third at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
Just last year, Anthony was crowned the Austrian Ladies Open champion, and placed second at the U.S. World Team Trials and at the U.S. Open. She was also named TheMat.com Athlete of the Week in 2013.
Anthony has been a member of Team USA Women’s Freestyle squad for the past two years, currently ranked second at 48 kilos/105.5 pounds.
Anthony wrestles for Simon Fraser University in Canada, one of the top women’s programs in North America, having won the 2013 NWCA National Duals Women’s title, and placing second at the 2014 National Duals in January.
